When my granddaughter was 6 years old, she loved the teevee show, Dragon Tales. One Saturday morning, I was taking her to the mall and, as we were passing her school, she suddenly said that she wanted to see the dragons at her school. I wasn't quite sure what that meant - perhaps they watched Dragon Tales at her school, but this gave me an idea for a story and that is how the Drog stories started.

Pages 1 and 2

When I took the manuscript to my publisher, he liked it, but said that I should make it a series, and so Drog the Dreggen became a series of three books. Drog is not really a dragon as we don't have dragons in Jamaica. He is a dreggen. You will have to read the story to find out why.

The second in the series entitled Seven Little Dreggenettes and One Deggae Dreggenling is in production. The stories are tongue twisters in parts and have many delightful surprises.

My granddaughter, who has the same name as the girl in the stories, was thrilled when I read them to her. I think you and your little ones will like them too. Ages 4 to 6 + years
